Project
Bespoke Adventure Boat with Climbing Wall & Rope Bridge
Overview
Headlands C of E Primary School reached out to us with an exciting challenge, to create a unique, imaginative play feature that would inspire physical activity, creativity, and outdoor learning. The vision? A wooden boat with added adventure elements to truly bring the playground to life.
We worked closely with the school to design and install a custom play structure that combines fun with functional movement development. The final design included:
A centrepiece for imaginative adventures and role-play
Supporting strength and gross motor skills
A challenge element that builds balance and confidence
A nature-inspired climbing feature promoting agility and coordination
All elements were handcrafted using robust, sustainable timber, built to withstand heavy use and the unpredictable weather.

The new play zone has become the star attraction of the outdoor space. It encourages not just physical play, but also teamwork, storytelling, and creative exploration.
“We’re absolutely thrilled! The craftsmanship is outstanding, and the children love every part of it. From the scramble stacks to the climbing wall, it’s used every single day.”
This project reflects our passion for delivering thoughtful, durable and engaging outdoor spaces. Whether it’s a boat in Liversedge or a forest trail in your school’s field, we’re proud to turn creative ideas into safe, beautiful, and long-lasting play areas.
