Overview

Dinting Primary School in Derbyshire approached Precision with the goal of creating an inspiring and functional outdoor space for their students. They sought a bespoke firepit shelter to support their forest school activities, offering a safe, interactive environment for outdoor learning and recreational play.

Design & Features

Working closely with Dinting Primary School, we designed, built, and installed a custom forest firepit shelter tailored to their needs. The school wanted a versatile structure that would blend seamlessly into their natural outdoor setting while encouraging outdoor exploration and group activities. The final structure included:

Secondary Roof with Smoke Ventilation

Ensuring safe use during fire-related activities and outdoor lessons.

Log Seating Around the Firepit

Providing a functional space for group activities and fostering a sense of community.

Perimeter Seating 

For extra capacity, allowing up to 30 children to comfortably use the space.

Handcrafted in our workshop, the shelter was built using high-quality, durable timber, ensuring it would withstand the elements and provide long-term value for the school. Our experienced installation team completed the on-site setup in a single day, allowing the school to start using their new space immediately.
