Overview

Chaucer Primary School required a re-design of its Early Years playground to make it more vibrant and versatile, to inspire outdoor play amongst its pupils. We took it back to basics, focusing on the groundworks and surfacing to set the foundation for this new space.

Design & Features

Phase one of this transformative project focused on groundworks and surfacing, setting the foundation for a vibrant and versatile outdoor play area. We carefully removed the old, tired equipment to make way for a fresh new space. Our team installed:

Flexipave Flooring

A durable, permeable surface made from resin, rubber, and aggregates, perfect for all-weather play and safety.

Large Artificial Grass Area

Providing an open-ended zone where teachers can set up imaginative activities or children can simply run and play freely.

Wetpour Leaves

Adding a splash of colour and blending seamlessly into the natural environment.

This phase laid the groundwork for future installations of EYFS playground equipment and set the stage for a safe and stimulating play area designed to foster exploration and creativity.

Looking Ahead

We are already looking forward to phase two of this exciting development, which promises to add even more value to the school’s outdoor learning environment with bespoke EYFS playground equipment and innovative design solutions.
