Overview
We were excited to work with Forest Holidays to design and create a rope hammock for their stunning Glentress site in Wales. Having previously collaborated with them, we were thrilled to bring their vision to life with a bespoke commercial playground equipment solution that would offer an unforgettable experience for families.
Forest Holidays wanted to create a unique, peaceful space within their art trail where visitors, particularly families, could relax and stargaze beneath the forest canopy. The hammock was designed to be a 1.5m x 1.5m area nestled in the forest, offering a place to unwind and enjoy the serene beauty of the forest while gazing up at the night sky. It creates a calming, interactive space for children within the art trail.
Designed for comfort, offering an inviting and safe space for children and families to relax.
To ensure the hammock would withstand the elements and last for years, we crafted it from robinia timber, a strong, durable hardwood renowned for its resilience and natural beauty. This robust material ensures longevity, even in the outdoor environment, while blending seamlessly into the forest setting.
