Purposeful Play in Motion: How Dore Primary School is Scaling New Heights in Physical Development

Client

Dore Primary School

Location

Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Project

Active Play Zone for Reception Pupils

Overview

We were delighted when Dore Primary School reached out with a wonderful mission: to build a dedicated outdoor space where their reception children could truly challenge themselves. The goal was to move beyond a standard playground and create a specialist “physical development tool” that helps little ones safely test their limits. We set out to design a modern, inviting area where every jump, climb, and balance helps build lifelong motor skills and confidence.

“The trim trail is amazing and the kids are absolutely loving it! It’s helping them with their coordination, strength, balance, agility, teamwork skills – just great!”

Aisling Farrell, EYFS Lead & Year 1 Class Teacher, Dore Primary School

“We are so, so happy with it. The children absolutely love it! They can access all of it independently. It’s really good for their physical development; we’ve seen lots of them develop their strength since they started. It’s really safe, and it’s really, really professionally built. The whole experience of getting the trim trail was fantastic. The company was so professional – they came in when the children were out of school, were really quick putting it up, and listened to what we wanted. They were just incredibly understanding and professional from start to finish.”
